Will my child enjoy the process?
Absolutely!
I strive to keep my photo shoots very relaxed, informal
and fun. I have found that when shooting babies and
children it is very important to create a non-stressful,
happy environment in which they feel the most comfortable.
As we all know, the best way to insure a happy child
is to have them well-rested and fed! Therefore, I
work with the parents to schedule the shoot around
naptimes and feeding schedules.
Can I specify the type of photos I would like of
my child?
Yes! Before
every shoot, I like to talk to the parents about the
purpose of the photos (birthday, holiday, fun, etc)
and what kind of location they have in mind (beach,
yard, garden, etc). Once this is all set, we determine
the best day and time for the child.
What is the best time of day to photograph my child?
I recommend
taking the photos in either the morning or the evening
light. So between 8am-noon or after 5pm would be best.
It takes about 1/2 hour -1 hour to shoot one roll
of film.
What type of equipment will you use to ensure
the best possible results?
My
camera is a professional Nikon SLR film camera
which allows you to enlarge the photos as big
as you like. I only use the highest quality
film and I take it to the best professional
developer in town.
How much does it cost?
I do not
charge a sitting fee! The cost of the photo shoot
is as follows (I just ask for 1/2 the total cost upfront):
36
exp (4"x6")
Color = $90
Black & White = $100
Can I have digital copies of
my pictures?
Yes! If
you would like digital files made of your photos so
you can e-mail them to friends, I can scan the negatives
and put them on a CD for you - and that would cost
$45 per roll. I will also post the photos on the internet so
that your family and friends can view them and order
prints.
When will I receive my photos? What happens to the
negatives?
You
will receive a set of 4"x6" prints within two weeks
after the shoot date. You and your family can then
order enlargements anytime over the next year. If
you would like to have the negatives, you may buy them for $75 per roll. The
cost of enlargements is:
4"x6" = $5
5"x7" = $18
8"x10" = $35
